Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can expect a unique worship experience! You enter a traditional looking worship center with stained glass windows, pipe organ and wooden pews. The service will feature both traditional hymns on the pipe organ as well as contemporary songs led by guitar. Every worship service features a kids’ message with puppets.

The message style is expository focusing on a specific section of Scripture and learning from it together. Communion is shared twice a month (first and third Sunday) using grape juice and bread.

Children in preschool to fifth grade are invited to attend Kids’ Church following the kids’ message during service. Kids’ Church features interactive Bible stories, creative play, crafts and games. Parents escort their kids to Kids’ Church (signing them in) and then pick them up after service ends (signing them out). At the end of service, our prayer team is available to pray with anyone wanting personal prayer.

Following service coffee and refreshments are available. There is also a time called Afterthoughts for those that would like to attend and pray together.

Drinks are permitted in the worship center.

  • You will find here at GMC a group of imperfect people who love a perfect Savior! People at GMC are very aware that we are a work in progress.

We want to grow closer to Jesus and let Jesus’ love help them show love to others in our community. We are a people of prayer and when we say we’ll pray for you, we do it.

Most of our current attendees are people who have some experience in church. Some have been a part of large mega-churches, some have grown up in Lutheran or Baptist denominations. Many of us have chosen to be a part of GMC because we’ve been looking for something more than just a nice church to attend. We want to be part of a mission sharing the Gospel through lives of love, service & laughter.

Right now the majority of the current attendees are white, but represent a diversity of economic status and age. Our desire is to grow increasingly diverse (race, background, etc.). Which is part of the reason why Beyond the Walls Church joined with Grace Mountain Church, located in the south part of Colorado Springs. All are truly welcome here!

Grace Mountain Church is also a church of new beginnings and excitement. A church that wants to see the community transformed and people find hope in Jesus. We are a church that is doing a complete restart and ready to grow and reach out! Will you join us?

  • Kids of all ages are welcome here! Every Sunday features a kids’ message with puppets in the main service before attending Kids’ Church.

Kids’ Church (Preschool-5th gr) is offered every Sunday & begins after the Kids’ Message during worship, parents just need to escort their children upstairs and sign them in. Parents, please return at the end of service to sign your children out.

  • Teens are very much welcome at Grace Mountain Church! If they are interested, we involve youth in our church worship service, having youth help with multiple aspects of the service, from singing on the worship team, helping with puppets, and helping with Kids’ Church. We also have youth group each Sunday for all middle school and high school students.

  • Yes! During Sunday services, Pastor Dave explains Scripture in simple and practical ways. After service our prayer team would love to hear your prayers requests and struggles and pray over you if you would like.

We also offer a weekly class: Monday Essentials (every Monday at 6 PM), which is run by volunteers at GMC looking at the basics of the Bible and the Christian faith.

  • We care about your safety! In fact, we employ an off-duty police officer in a patrol car to watch over cars in the parking lot and provide extra safety during services.

We are also currently hiring a company to install over 30 security cameras to keep everything monitored and safe on the church property at all times, especially during service.

Any volunteer that works with children and youth is background screened and volunteers are never alone with children.
